People's Television began official broadcast on November 10, 2008 from it's studio at Stubbs Diamond Plaza. The station is steadily growing in popularity largely due to the cutting edge look and information delivered during it's half hour news programme, "PTV News Watch" with the slogan, 'Real News, for Real People'.

Our over the air signal has been called a ‘blessing’ for many residents who had previously been unable to enjoy quality local programming.  The programs we offer are educational, entertaining, informative, provocative and impartial. PTV News Watch is broadcast 4 times daily Monday to Friday (6:30PM, 9:00PM, 6:30AM and 12:30PM) with “The Week In Review,” a recap of the week’s top stories, 4 times on the weekend at 6:30AM and 6:40PM. Additionally, through our affiliation with Tropik TV, our News is on television in 5 countries outside the Turks and Caicos Islands:

The Average Joe Show” with the hilarious “Diplomatress” Paula Arthur allows ‘average Joes’ to have their say. This Show airs live on Wednesday nights at 7:00PM with the replay on Saturdays at 1:00PM. The refreshing Morning Show “Turquoise Morning” airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 7:00AM where Host Deandrea Hamilton shows off the “people, places and plants” of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
